Letts Planner
I'm not particularly picky about things or brands, but the one thing I've used for over 20 years is a notebook by Letts of London. My favorite type is the one that lets me write my weekly schedule horizontally across a two-page spread —I couldn't live without it. Every November, I make it a personal tradition to buy the planner at ITO-YA in Ginza, then browse the various stationery and cards in the store. Next year's schedule is starting to fill up, so I'll begin writing it down in my brand-new planner starting today.
Seminars and workshops at the Akita Prefectural Government
I participated a lecturer in the “Prefectural Government Communication Strengthening Project” held in Akita City at the end of September. The Akita Prefectural Government is holding a series of seminars and workshops to enhance the planning, formulation, and execution capabilities of its staff regarding information dissemination. My part was the “Public Relations Overview” session, which was attended by nearly 40 staff members from various departments. In addition to two seminars covering basic theory of public relations, targeting, KPI setting, and optimal channel design for information dissemination, workshops involved creating fictional resident personas and designing public relations KPI sheets.
