Hitomi Sakonju, President & CEO of our company, had been worked as a corporate public relations director and public relations manager for a government agency for more than three decades, so she is well skilled in developing public relations strategies and providing support for all public relations activities across all industries, including government.
Originally, the role of public relations is significant, as it raises awareness and favorability of the organization and plays a major part in advancing business management.
Our approach to work is to work closely with companies and organizations as a partner, providing hands on support that help promote their public relations activities. In some cases, we also be involved in practical tasks such as coordinating with each department and preparing documents, and often being responsible for overseeing and directing the actual working site.

Born in Hokkaido in 1960. Went to the United States as a Rotary Foundation International Scholar. After graduating from a university in the US, Hitomi refined all aspects of various public relations and communications work at PR agencies, advertising agencies and a consulting firm. She provides communication and branding services to a wide range of clients, including foreign government agencies (trade, fashion, food, tourism), general consumer goods (apparel, hair care, healthcare, food), finance, IT, entertainment, food & beverage/services, and aviation/travel. She also demonstrates her expertise in new client development, human resource development, budget management, and business strategy planning.
For 10 years from 2001, Hitomi served as the Public Relations Director for Jaguar Land Rover Japan, the Japanese subsidiary of the British luxury car manufacturer, where she oversaw both brands' product and corporate PR, branding, and CSR. She contributed to the flagship model, the Jaguar XJ, winning the Japan Car of the Year Special Award in 2003, while also establishing the brand as a luxury brand that goes beyond just "cars."
In 2011, she joined Yokohama City Government as Director of the Public Relations and Consultation Service Department of the Citizens Bureau at the request of the mayor of Yokohama. The position was for a specific four-year fixed term. In the position, responsibilities and achievements included improving the quality of public relations, public hearing and citizen services (including call centres and legal/specialist consultations), and establishing and strengthening city branding.
Currently, as a public relations and marketing expert, she is engaged in public relations activities for the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, as well as serving as a public relations advisor and public relations agent for private companies and various organizations. In addition, with her deep knowledge and achievements in public relations in both the private and public sectors, she also works as a public relations advisor and public relations director for various public organizations.
